Introduction

TOXIE-RADD 2 is the sequel of the successful Toxie-Radd zombie game. The game keeps the approach of a top-down view action-shooting game and increases the gameplay and fun:

Story

Joe just escaped from St. Rose state prison, where secret experiments mutated the captives into zombies that Joe had to blast away! After the prison building explosion, a mysterious guy helps him take refuge in the woods, then explaining to Joe the truth about the experiments.

They both want revenge and Joe shall find answers in an old steel mill to the North.

There is where he'll go, slaughtering tons of zombies on his path thanks to new firearms and melee weapons and trying to survive to the unstoppable zombification of his mutated body!

Goal

Always go to the North in all 7 different levels, surviving the waves of Zombies and final Bosses.

Beat all the "zombies to kill" of each level and pick up everything they drop: money to buy your gear, medikits to heal your wounds, ammo and grenades, but most of all pick up the red de-toxie vials to temporarily stop the zombification of your body.

The green vials on the fields are useful to genetically boost your skills. So get them too.

At the end kill the final huge boss at the steel mill in order to get access to the secret information that could cure your strange disease and save your life.

Main Menu and Savegame

Press "NEW GAME" to start to play the first time, then select the game difficulty: Joke (easy), Deadly (medium) or Apocalypse (...hard!).

The game will automatically save at the end of each level.

In case you die (Game Over) or you close the game/browser, just press 'CONTINUE' on the Main Menu to continue from the beginning of the level you were on.

In the OPTIONS menu you may switch the music ON and OFF, select the sound volume and the graphic quality.

Life and Disease

Your red life bar indicates Joe's level of health. The more you are hit and bitten by zombies, the more you lose life points. You may heal your character by using the medi-kit that the zombie-nurses drop when die.

In the meantime you "zombie" disease grow inside your body. The disease is represented by the increasing green area or your life red bar. Whenever the green bar fulfills the residual life red bar... you are completely zombified, so GAME OVER.

Combat and Weapons

Joe (this is the name that the protagonist found tattooed on his body. He has lost his memory in the prison so he doesn't know his own real name) receives a robotic hand from the mysterious friend. Thanks to this powerful tool Joe's right arm can carry heavy weapons.

Apart from the first default firearm (a desert eagle) all the other ones have to be purchased from the trader who will appear 2 times per level.

Take care of the ammo in your weapons. They are limited and you may reload them by picking up ammo boxes dropped by dying zombies.

On the left hand this time Joe clasps melee weapons (from a knife to a ...chainsaw) to slash zombies in close combat.

Both firearms and brawl weapons have 3 possible upgrade each, that you can always buy from the trader with the money you'll collect in game.

Joe carries also hand grenades up to a max amount: normal (16), incendiary (12), fragmentation grenades (8). You can find them dropped by zombies and/or buy them from the trader. Grenades are very important not only for blasting away masses of near zombies but also to quickly destroy the barriers blocking you way to the north.

Skills and genetic boosts

Toxie-Radd offers an RPG style upgrade system that increases the character's skills thanks to genetic boosts for Joe's mutated body.

Collect all the green vials on the ground of each level and give them to the trader to get your desired skill boosted up, to become tougher, stronger, faster, more precise and with higher awareness to get more items and money from the zombie corpses.

Hall of Achievements

During the game you may achieve some goals, useful to get extra bonus.

  • First Kill: kill your first zombie Bonus: +50 money
  • Mouthful Boss Death: kill the MouthFull Boss Bonus: +1 life
  • Spider Boss Killed: kill the Spider Boss Bonus: +1 awareness
  • First Time Violent: Kill quickly 5 zombies Bonus: +200 money
  • First Time Bloody: Kill quickly 10 zombies Bonus: +400 money
  • First Time Gore: Kill quickly 20 zombies Bonus: +800 money
  • First Time Carnage: Kill quickly 50 zombies Bonus: +1500 money
  • Lord of war: Use 5000 rounds Bonus: increased max ammo of all guns
  • Demolition man: Use 100 grenade Bonus: You can carry on more grenade
  • Assassin: Kill 50 zombies with the knife Bonus: use your knife as a katana
  • Overreaction: Buy all the firearms Bonus: You pick up more ammo from the boxes
  • Lord of Blades: Buy all the blades Bonus: You damage more with blades
  • Zombified: Die for green toxie with 50% life or more Bonus: double effect from detoxie
  • Fished: Be killed by zombie-fisherman Bonus: half toxicity from zombie fisher
  • Smudged: Be killed by swollen explosion Bonus: half damage from swollen explosion
